I strongly disagree.

Have you actually determined if this is due to sidebands on the 2.7GHz signal or simply front-end overload in the receivers?
That's odd -- because testing seems to indicate that XPS *does* continue to transmit, even when noise levels far exceed the -36dB you quote. Does that mean you're not FCC-compliant?
Are these "real world tests" related to the ones you did before claiming that a transmitter dipole was completely unnecessary?

You keep making this claim and I continue to refute it. Your "real world" seems decidedly different to the one I live in and the one that many folks have to fly in Jim.

And if XPS's hopping algorithm is so good -- why, in the tests conducted here, did XPS stop working when JR/Spektrum and FASST coped without any problems? This must surely be the single most important question that needs to be answered. You won't try to dodge that one will you?

Please tell me where we can see the 3-dimensional plots of this pattern. I've asked for this data from you I don't know how many times but all you've offered is the 2D plots from Maxstream. If you now have that data (which you seem to be claiming) I'm sure we'd all like to see it for ourselves -- otherwise it's hearsay.

So how do you cope with shadowing in a large model where it's impossible to position the receiver so that the signal isn't going to be blocked by a major metal or composite structure from some angles. The antenna's radiation pattern doesn't matter one sack of beans if it's shadowed and the same goes for resending the data. If the receiver remains in the shadow, it will not receive the data and it's "lockout time".
Why don't I believe that this is the sole reason?

So what you're saying then (if it's not diversity) is that the secondary receiver(s) will not function unless the primary receiver fails (otherwise it *is* diversity).

Will you be able to run telemetry *without* a satellite receiver?

Can you give us a timeline?

Can you also elaborate on the situation in Europe? Graupner appears to have been giving quite a few refunds and taking back XPS gear with increasing regularity there. Are there special issues in this market?
OUCH!!right on brother !!!!...where did he go...

This was an interview where Jim Drew claimed to have graduated with three degrees at age 17 in 1983.

A quick call to the registrar at the Oregon University Of Technology at Klamath Falls confirmed several things:
1. Jim Drew never graduated from that school.
2. They never even had a Physics program there, yet he claims to have gotten a degree in Physics there, along with ones in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the same time...at age 17...while simultaneously graduating high school.
3. Jim Drew lies about many things. Don't take this as a personal attack, but a verifiable FACT. It's not libelous, it's not slanderous, it's proveable, it's just fact.
I don't beleive he actually graduated college anywhere, as a matter of fact.
As far as all the other claims he has made, well...

Please feel free to repost this anywhere you like, I think people ought to know who they are really dealing with before they commit their model to XPS.

OK.

Were full throttle uploading the vids right now to Youtube. I put them there for two reasons. 1. you dont need to sign up to see them for those that dont like to join the forums.

Second is they are in Quicktime using the H264 format. Its really good quality video and to see these tests in real high definition its well worth your while downloading the player. It will also play in iTunes if you have it.

Why the high resolution (which takes a ton more time to produce than a simple web cam video) is to get the screen shots as clear as possible.

All four tests are real time, no editing at all. That is no cut frames. No bulldust. You can see the scanner in real time and see XPS slowly slowly slowly get swamped and it goes into fail safe. The same with ASSAN and the same with FASST and SPEKTRUM.

Righty Ho Folks.

Its working at long last.

Here is the link to Youtube with the testing on FASST. Please excuse the fat old bugger muttering away in the fore ground but he was neccessary to make this test work.

The analyzer sort of keeps the traces of the TX and the generator "ghosted" on the screen, correct?

Yes,

It keeps what went on and he upper graph is more useful for a time line. That lower one is good to see signal strength, profile and if anything moves.

OK more success of a kind.

The second video is up and running showing the ASSAN system.

Bad news is our site wont handle the APPLE H264 format so I cant load the vids here just yet without changing formats.

Here's ASSAN.

Thanks again for your hard work for our benefit, Kiwi! It's amazing to watch these systems actually "work" on your analyzer. Very cool stuff especially because I have a FASST module coming my way soon.

Here is the XPS test, same exact environment.

The JR stuff will be up tomorrow. I'm bushed tonight and need a sleep for a change.
