SS40 is another paid fanboy. They are getting rarer and rarer nowadays, though. What happened to all the early shills? They are awfully quiet now. Just a sad lil' handful left. Chris F Test Pilot, and Chuck A. The last holdouts, really.

What's the "spirit of FG?" You mean, the spirit of being owned by RCgroups, who take money every month from Jim Drew and XPS?

Tourmal...you worry to much. At this point, it's rather unlikely that you WILL encounter someone flying an XPS at all, much less someone flying one in a really dangerous plane. It's possible, but rather unlikely. XPS has pretty much bit the dust already, and they sold so few units it's just pretty unlikely a serious accident will happen due to XPS.

You'd better hope that spirit doesn't spill over into the permanent ban category We'd be deprived of your priceless contibutions to the "XPS Sucks!" threads.

Unfortunate we still have some people use it in high powered helicopters and had already 2 incidences reported of total loss of control. As reported, these happened just meters away from the TX while hovering. On top of the known issues, XPS also appear to have a firmware bug issue.

Yes I thought it was humorous myself. I'm glad you didn't miss the irony. Cute set of volleys!

Now as far as being paid. I don't know where that comment comes from.

My posts are NOT priceless...Fatuba Radio pays me $10 per post to keep putting ol' Jim Drew down, they will do anything to stop the XPS takeover of the RC market.

Ban me, I do not care. As far as I can see, this is now just another branch of RCgroups, and while I really love the moolah the other radio companies pay me to beat up on XPS, I'd just as soon not generate such fine content and traffic for Jim Jourke, who now owns this site.
This site will get theirs, too, count on that. I've seen the way Jim treats his users and his moderators, all you are are numbers and dollars to him. "Flying Giants Spirit?" Please. The place is sold, that went out the window when they took the check from RCgroups. Is that kind of like the "Spirit of Walmart?"

Few people. And not for long. I would not worry so much.

Well it appears that RCG is well and truly in bed with XPS, to the point that I got a warning and had a post deleted in the general RC forum because a new JD fanboy posted a rather offensive personal attack against me (" We should just call this the x jet forumn, you are like diareha in here, like a big mess.")

Why did he say that?

Well he uploaded a video of his plane flying with an XPS system onboard.

1. I commented on the uploaded video saying that it proves XPS is a fine second tier 2.4GHz system. I also said that it [the video] was well done. Someone (possible Klique) reported that post as "a personal attack" - how on earth did they jump to that conclusion?

2. When JD claimed that the video was filmed at a busy field during SEFF I simply quoted from what the poster said in the video that everyone had already gone when the video was taken.

Then Klique posted the comment highlighted in red above.

Strangely enough, the abusive fan-boy poster (Klique) didn't get sanctioned -- but *I* did.

My reply was not abusive, not derogatory and not offensive in any way -- but I was caned for "trolling".

If harsh words were allowed here, I'd tell you what I think of that - but my opinion of RCG has dropped dramatically and I see now that (as others have suggested) it really is a case of whoever buys the advertising makes the rules.

Tragic really -- I hope that doesn't spill over in to FG.

And will the admins at RCG feel proud when some kid gets killed or maimed by an out of control jet or giant scale that uses XPS because they were successful in driving the truth about JD's lies and the deficiencies of an advertiser's system underground?

Unbelievable.

And I thought the admins at RCU were idiots!

I tried to tell you that about RCgroups. All you are is a number to them, to sell advertising.
As long as Jim keeps paying RCgroups, that will be that. Yes, indeed, they are enjoying Jim's money, Jim Jourke bought himself a full-scale Yak with it.

Welcome to the real world. It's painful to read so often about how the magazines are all on the take, and how you can get the REAL scoop on the internet...the forums are worse, they sell out for much less.

That seems to be a common response from the XPS supporters whenever things do no turn out their way.
You were an early XPS pundit. I seem to remember you fell for that deal where he said that the little stub antenna on the TX was going to be just fine. He swore up and down, in spite of many other people who knew better saying otherwise, and it cost you an airplane. And a week later, he ditched the stub antenna and went with the same antenna style everybody else is using, the one all the "XPS bashers" said he needed in the first place?
You lost an airplane due to faulty XPS design, and you still are beleiving in the hype? I mean, in spite of making a rather massive design change, he claims it was not the antenna at all, but some mysterious "noise floor" that exists only in Las Vegas? While everybody else is flying just fine on the other 2.4 systems?

Say, whatever happened to Sepulveda Basin? Remember how Jim Drew went out there to "examine the noise floor" after his sponsored pilot put in a jet, and the club disallowed XPS radios from a jet event? Jim went out there, and suddenly, it got really quiet...
He threatened to sue the club and everything, what happened?

You may have forgotten, but you've already covered this territory 364 posts ago.

And I suppose we can look forward to it coming around again 364 posts from now. A month and a half and no new ground to cover.
