Judge,
Geez! I was kidding, I even said so in the post. One of the posters said he didn't like being called a liar, you never called anyone a liar, I was just playing off of your signature line trying to inject a little levity into the thread. We must be able to laugh at ourselves.

I have no doubt people are seeing this. And I have no doubt that Futaba is working hard to resolve it.
I think what gets most people going is when someone comes in with the gloves on to begin with. People are posting their findings and feelings on the matter and every time someone post a finding there seems to be a comment from a team member trying to discredit them. Now don't get me wrong I have always been Futaba and prefer Futaba radios over the other guys. I know that Futaba will come up with a solution for this issue, but in the meantime the people that really matter (all Futaba Fasst Owners) need to work through a solution.

Bill posted a nice reply stating what Futaba and Futaba Services are doing to resolve this issue. I am sure it hasn't just been put on someones desk to be forgotten about in a couple weeks. Once the solution has been determined I am sure they will take care of it in a timely manner.

So ask this of all those with Sponsored By Futaba in their signature line. Why not rather than try to discredit findings, help with a solution. By trying to discredit you just make individuals get defensive. This is a serious issue and as always I am sure can be overcome.

As for the one that said Tucson Shoot Out, I am more worried about Joe Nall. The only reason my planes have been switched over is for the NALL.

what if you went at the module in your tranny with a heat gun would it do the same thing, pull module out get case up to same temps then plug it back into radio for hot test on it.

i understand fully that the processor chip has to do a hell of a lot more work in fasst system over old g3 and other brands 500 channel hopping with prevision, like anything electronic doing heaps more work will be in trouble faster with heat. So if module has similar job does it not like heat too.

I hear ya, brotha.. I'm probably taking the short drive up I-85 also, and don't want to be the cause or the victim of what folks are describing here... but I was making reference to the fact that even in October, the temps in Tucson can be over 100 degrees!!

Hopefully things won't change down here that mucn in the next 2 weeks.

Fair enough. I completely agree as they are the only ones that can actually come up with a solution. Hopefully it will turn out to be an easy one.

I dont think Judge was doing anything but stating that by some of the posts, people seem to think a solution should have been found overnight. There arent too many people that are more impatient than I am but I totally understand that it will take a bit of time to find out what the problem is that people are experiencing and a solution to that problem. Of course I want to fly....been waiting all winter and have a few new planes that I have only gotten a few flights on but as far as I am concerned, there IS a problem and I want to know what it is before I risk anything or anyone.
I will probably be at the Nall this year, and will be at the XFC and I know a great deal of people are hoping to have this issue resolved before that. I hope it is myself, and I am sure that Futaba is working on this as fast as they can.

Just curious what other pilots are doing while Futaba figures this out. Are you still flying with the system or have you self grounded your planes? I have a new AW Yak I plan to maiden in about 1 week with a 6014 installed. More than a little nervous after reading about this issue.

I did fly with the 6EX system in multiple planes all last summer, I know not the same receiver, with no heat issues.

If this is indeed the problem, I am sure Futaba had no idea this would be a problem.

It is not hot here (less than 70f) so I am monitoring my Rx's. But if it gets warm I will not fly until we hear back from Futaba. I am also covering my canopy on the ground as it gets very hot in there under the sun no matter what the temp is outside. I have not tried to reproduce the results - but I plan to very soon (just need some time to get to it.)

I have no choice but to mount the Rx's up in the canopy - I am getting occasional failsafes if I don't. Very brief failsafes but failsafes none the less. I am guessing the engine is somehow blocking the signal but I'm not sure. No issues when they are up in the canopy...

Of the few flights I have had on those couple of planes with the 6014's I havent had any problems but I wont fly them until I find out more...The temps around here arent bad yet though...Never had a problem with the 7 channel receivers either.

Judge, given that you are affiliated with Futaba, the best thing you can do is stay out of this. The more you post, the more of a negative opinion I have about Futaba.
