Help! Schools in session

Ok people so I have been out of the hobby a little while on account of working, military schools (go engineer corps),women - aka drain on my wallet but fun, and college.

I am going to get a dedicated 2.4ghz 9303 but I am wondering what the best choices are for RX's. Have people had good results with the included RX? I am going to guess that I still need a power system for the 40% birds.

I will probably keep my fleet to just my 35% right now and smaller since my free time is limited.
I sold my dalton (DOH!) but was too busy for that honestly. Still have another 40% in storage for free time though when and if it comes.

My buddy showed me his 12x JR radio and while it looks spiffy its probably more than I need right now.

Airbornesgt: are you working for the Jacksonville District of the ACOE? I work at the ERDC (US Army Engineer Reach and Development Center) here in Vicksburg.

What's the story?

my personal opinion:

my expensive planes get a 9100 because the reception is so outstanding with 4 independent receivers. I fly a 9303 now..

My glow planes all have 7000's or 6200's, and the foamies have 6100's. my 33% had a 7000 but now a 9000, and will switch it over to the 9100 this winter.

funny thing is that every setup worked fine as long as I got enough power to it. so I really think its what you can afford and like.

the 9100 is of course higher in price but I think thats a good investment in a 3000$ or above plane.
