What's the asking price for this required gadget? Inquiring mind wants to know (so we can prepare an appology to the significant other for spending that much money on such a small item!)

Hey - I am a big Fromeco supporter and a fan of the TNC tach, however this thing though very accurate, still needs some work:
- the battery should have a snap on connection like most devices that use a 9v batt as the current set up of just pushing against a metal plate is not reliable and can give false readings
- the switch should have a shield rim around it. As it is now if you put it in a case the button can be depressed by something pressing on it and thereby kill the battery

The original tach had a sliding on off switch, which I actually prefer but if they are worried about leaving the tach on, they could have added an auto turn off circuit similar to what is in the GlowBee tach. Glad to see that this excellent tach has been updated, especially the display. Always bugged me that it never was a direct reading. Also the range switch is now gone, which was always a pain in the butt. Would like to see a 4 blade setting also incorporated. A cheap case would also be nice.

Got my vote there, I have had several flat batts due to this issue, now I remove the battery after use, solves the problem, but is a bit of a pita.

You need to tach an engine in natural outdoor light....
due to the phase of lights (not sure what it is there) you will get incorrect readings if you are inside....
