Well. . Let's see. . I left Charlotte at 7 in the morning, and arrived in Waco at 11 p.m. Add an hour for the time change, and you get about 17 hours from 15 miles North of Charlotte to Waco Texas.

According to Mapblast, the distance is 1099 miles and the ETA is 16:45 drive time, not allowing for a pit stop every 3 hours or 225 miles (fillup distance for the van). I get 13mpg on the highway, so its almost cheaper to fly . .but its a lot less fun

I just received bad news today...I won't be able to make it to the Nall this year...I was looking forward to going and it would have been my first...Problem is I have to be in Peoria, IL on Sunday....So if I drive I would have to leave on Saturday

Saturday is when everyone usually pulls out anyways. Look at event dates... from Wednesday to Saturday. Are you saying you can't drive down untill Friday anyways?

This will be my first year there as well but travelling with a guy who has been going for years so I should be ok!

NO Excuses. . .Peoria is a 10 hour drive, you could leave at midnight and be there on time.

Saturday is the "wind down" day. Only the Die Hards are still on site after 5 p.m. on Saturday. Leaving before Noon is perfectly acceptable. COme in, get in a flight or two, shake the hands of all your buds. .say Sayonnara, and drive off into the sunset.

Wish I could Make it sounds like you will have a blast. Somebody should bring a FG Foamy on Spectrum. Get it in a hover and pass the transmitter around, everyone has to hold the hover for 30 seconds, If the plane falls out of the hover when you have the transmitter then you slam your adult beverage.

KIWI you bringing any POLAR? I got plastered on that stuff in Chile.

The Nall crew is very strict on the adult beverages NOT mixing with transmitters, Dan. Just ask Biff. It's an easy way to get evicted or grounded.

Actually spoke with da wife earlier and I might go for something in the mid week and leave on Friday. I had originally planned to be there all week, but if I am gone the following week it may be to much.
