"This pod contained extra fuel and a nuclear weapon along with other mission-specific specialized gear. Later versions were fitted with reconnaissance equipment in place of the armaments in the form of the RB-58A." From http://www.militaryfactory.com/aircr...ircraft_id=115 That is one of the coolest planes ever designed. It set many records when it flew, and the people that flew them loved them.

There were molds out there. Here is a video of a large DF version would be perfect for a few small turbines http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yC32VmGm-Y |

Two jets and two (removable) dummy pods would be pretty good. You could do the flight tests without the dummy pods. Less to go wrong that 4 engines. Neat looking DF model: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yC32VmGm-Y I though that deltas were supposed to be pretty stable with good lift for the wing area. Its pretty much a Concord with engine pods. I'm sure I have seen models of the Concord flying? |
