Not really. The problem was that ICBMs made the plane obsolete. Like any high-performance plane (b58, sr71 etc) they were expensive to operate. They could not justify keeping them in service when ICBMs could do essentially the same thing for much less money.

The delta wing has proved to be an incredibly stable platform for bombing. The B-58 was created as a gap filler much the same as the Titan missiles were. The plane was incredibly expensive to operate with very high fuel costs due to its Mach 2 capability. Once the Russians developed SAMS the planes high speed, high altitude safety factor went away forcing it to fly incursions at low level, a task it was not designed to do. It therefore became obsolete.
