BANDIT WITH TITAN = CRAZY BOTTLE ROCKET ! I saw one fly and it was a missle.... Easily 260 + absolutely smoking !! however.... Make sure your pipe is perfect, as this one did, it collapsed the pipe, and in she went.

My preference is the straight fin, no question. If you're dead set on looks, the swept will still allow knife edges, but at 3/4 power +, otherwise it will fall off after 100' on knife. The straight fin actually will let it climb and require less compensation (mixing) since the hingeline is not swept. That paint scheme is pretty sharp! I hadn't seen that one before, nice flowing lines, looks similar to one Kent Nogy owns (different colors though). Hey Max, thanks man, life is finally getting on track now that the little one is home safe and healthy! Looking forward to seeing you at the Nall! | ||||||||||||||||||

Yea Dave - same guy, I just haven't got round to changing my details on here yet but I'm based in New York at the moment. The Jet case has been an awesome tool for getting stuff moved around dent free. I fly my Barf on the swept fin and have pretty good performance but suspected the std fin has a little more fin area and aerodynamic performance. I have both fins for the super Bandit but will happily go with better performance with an aeroplane that still looks good even with the std fin. Cheers for the advice and congrats on the improving health of your daughter. Andrew |

Made some progress on the Bandit this weekend. Also received a set of covercraft bags for it. I have had sets of comp arf and BVM (Barf) bags but these things are awesome. They look really cool and seem very very protective. Really chuffed with 'em! Managed to get lots of priming done this weekend. I am having a problem with some pinholes appearing from where I've rubbed back the skin a little too far when preparing. These are only small isolated areas - but do any of you guys have tips for dealing with these? Cheers, Andrew |

Thanks Goose! She's doing great and hopefully will be out with me to the flying field before the end of '08! My brother is threatening to teach her how to fly! LOL, no pressure!

OK, got a start on the Elan today. Opened up and it had a crack in the nose. it must have gotten bumped. oh well, time for a return. Also, I dont know if you all know but Wren USA is in business now. Ron Ballard, Decatur Indiana, is the wren service center for the US now. He is an avid modeler as well and a great builder. Its nice the wren guys have a quick turn capability now. I will post more pics as it comes together. Last edited by GooseF22; 02-27-2008 at 11:12 PM. |

Ah ha - is this a hint on where you are going with Shulman aviation? Are you going to be making a pitch at producing a trainer for the new addition to the family - I'm thinking Funky Chicken? Am I warm? |
