Some good news today.. .looks like i'll be able to keep it under the 55lb rule. just weighted it during lunch and with everything except a matchbox installed,
the F18 weights

42.4lbs
+ the 11lbs of fuel
= 53.4 lbs.

Its cutting it close, but it leaves me some extra wiggle room for ordinance, etc. I can still remove some weight by getting rid of the huge 1/4 scale JR servo's on the elevators. i figure that will help me lose a good 1/2 to 1 lb.

Who says turbines have complicated fuel systems?

Currently in Toronto on business... and the f-18 is under new ownership now by a good friend of mine. He's taking over the project as i dont have the time to mess with it much anymore. And he's putting in a pair of JetCat P-120's.

Maiden flight video's and pictures will be coming around the first of the year, and i'll be sure to post them up.

On the other spektrum, i'll be beginning a comp-arf eurosport build thread. And then i'll be starting a 1/8 scale F-14 scratch build project that'll begin with plugs for a composite airframe. That will be the LONG project that'll be years in the making.
