After fitting the Fly Eagle cockpit kit to the F-16 I've decided to use it for the Falcon instead and I plan to use the JL specific one for the F-16. Its supposed to be a better fit.
best tips i can give ya on doors.. look at LOTS of different style jets build threads to get idea's on how to go about them. They are pretty easy to install after the first couple of jets you do. The tricky part is when you get some funky doors that have a couple different curves to them on the hinged side. then you have to come up with some creative thinking.

The F-16 should be fairly simple. The falcon, i would just use a wide nylon dubro pin style hinge for the main doors between the door and the wing, then a follow me linkage from the strut to the door.

On the nose, i'd do the same but have a forward opening 1/2 door (like a bandit, bobcat, flash, etc) ,this will act like a speed brake to help w/ slowing it down.

most likely that is exactly what I plan for the Falcon......unless I try to get tricky and do a split door on the gear with an aircylinder.....but I doubt it. I'd rather fly that thing sooner than later

So what has been happening.....?

Well the P-47 is getting close to paint so it should be off the table in a week or two.

The Extra 260 is going to be finished covered and ready for a maiden by next weekend if not by Labor day!

The Falcon 120 is on the 3rd table right now. I got the gear and most of the hardware for it. The motor (Jet Central Rabbit) was on back order and is now being shipped along with the struts.

Build photos of this plane should start next week.

As far as the F-16 goes---I bought the cockpit kit and some misc. things for it. I have not started construction on it yet though. I have decided to paint the plane in a new scheme. It will require some sanding but I think it will be worth it!

Ohhhhhh an A-10. My next jet is either an A-10 or a F-4

Got my pilot cockpit kit today from Camlex. Its pretty sweet and fits like a glove.

I installed the nose door and nose gear on the Falcon . I need to order new struts for the wings as the trail link ones I got won't fit angle wise in the wing.

Cool! If anyone wants documentation from this A10: http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.co.../story0016.htm

Let me know, I can get everything.(as long as it's not classified) The plane is currently being converted for static display at Seymour Johnson AFB. (I believe it's about to be painted, as well as an F4 and F105) I don't know if it would help much though, the cockp,,, I mean "crew compartment" had been gutted and the engines are out, but if it'll help anyone, let me know.
