I’m throwing down the Gauntlet at the LV Huckfest

Along with a good friend, we have sponsored the Limbo Combat event at the Mid-Winter Electric event here in San Diego for the past five years. With that experience, I bring you the following list of challenges:

Here is the Basic challenge, bring your foamie and we'll provide the course. It’s simple…two pylons and as many pilots as frequencies allow, per round, will be flying a figure 8 pylon race. Half of the pilots will be flying counter clockwise and the other half clockwise. Your lap count after 5 minutes will be your score for the round. That is…if you finish! DW Foamies will provide a YAK 54 kit to first and second place winners.

For the Intermediate challenge you will be flying the same figure 8, all in the same direction and you will need to pass under the 4 foot high limbo bar by approximately 6 feet wide. Again, after 5 minutes your lap count will be your score, no limbo…no lap count. Again, DW Foamies will provide a YAK 54 kit to the first and second place winner.

The Unknown challenge is not for the faint of heart. Passing under the limbo bar as many times as you can in 3 minutes. The one with the most passes will be declared the champion; DW Foamies will provide one of our BigAss Foamie YAK kits, complete with a Scorpion Motor and 45 amp Scorpion speed controller. As a consolation prize, DW Foamies will provide a YAK 54 to the pilot that ends up with the best take-down; this will be judged by the crowd!

The foamie kits will be provided by yours truly, DWFoamies. The Motor, ESC and Battery will be provided by Innov8tive Designs, the exclusive US distributor of Scorpion and X-Caliber products.
