Mike, That is not an F-16, but a look-alike. It is a prototype Aeroworks jet that used the wing from a Giles G-202. It has the engine mounted between the vertical fins and fixed gear. They were considering kitting it as a jet trainer. It flies great, has a great speed range and lands super slow!
The last I heard, Aeroworks was not going to kit it.

my comment about it being an f16 was geared toward the thunder bird paint trim hehe, neat looking plane,, i like those kit bash ideas hehe

JAS part of my point is look how many wonderful pics that have been posted in previous best of the month threads wont be shown in the future because they are of the person posting and not taken by the person posting. Almost half of the pics that i liked are of the person in action or of the persons plane thats in the air.

Those pilots can get a friend to take pics of them and then the friend/photographer will have to post the pics to win the prize.

I like the contest as it is now, best picture taken, not best skills in the picture. There are plenty of websites for personal pics. I've got one, Mark had one, and for anyone that doesn't have one, they can always open a free site and post pics of themselves all day long, or put them here on Flying Giants. I think this is supposed to be about photography skills, not airplane skills. But I may be wrong.
