Well, here it is.... The only ARF that was five years in the making! (Took me that long to afford all the components while educating a couple of kids!) Flys great. Working on gallon #2 and everybody disregard the Zinger noisemaker on the front, the Vess is on the way! WT |

Here are a couple I shot back in '96 at the DeKalb, IL airshow (R.I.P.) of Gene Soucy's Extra 300S. It looks like there are a few too many roll elements in each line to be legal for IMAC! Doug |

When Gene had this plane hangered at Friendswood (TX.) I was taking my son around airport hopping for his birthday. (It was his fifth birthday) We saw Gene flying this thing in and rolling up to a hangar. We walked over and he asked Kyle if he liked airplanes and of course he said yes.... "Well then, you'll probably like this one a lot better from here!" He picked him up and stood him in the rear seat. He gave him a yellow notepad paper that had some aresti symbols on it and a message that read: Happy Birthday Kyle and happy flying! (Signed) Gene Soucy. Later that day we were in Galveston at the Lone Star Flight Museum. The Texas Raiders B-17 was pulling up near the rear entrance and the props were stopping one by one. A museum worker went running out and asked the pilot to move the plane over to the other side of the ramp because another larger plane was due in soon and they wanted it to be parked closest to the hangar. (Fifi the B-29) The pilot looked over at Kyle (he had a vise-like grip on my hand!) and yelled, "YOU! AIRMAN! Come over here and help me move this plane!" I'll never forget the silver dollar sized eyes on my son as they taxied every bit of 50 yards and swung it around to a stop. It was quite a fifth birthday. (He's 17 now.) RC4Flying: Oh, I'm enjoying it! They are probably going to schedule my surgery to remove this grin real soon! Great flyer! BF Knuckle: You want noise? I got yer noise! This is an old style, blue case, 3W-80 twin. (On its second gallon, it was new and unrun) I've tried four props and right now I'm down to this Zinger 26-10. Anything over half throttle in the straight and level position and this thing rips like no tomorrow. I'm holding back on the throttle until some new props come in. (a Vess, a Menz and a Mezlic) Gotta keep the hearing aide crowd happy! WT Last edited by WangoTango; 05-03-2007 at 12:35 PM. |

OK guys here is my entry,, this pic was taken at one of our local flyins,, it is of Robert Vess(owner of Vess props) and Larry Lewis , Robert and Larry were Torque rolling ,, well Robert Vess was piloting the QueQue Yak, and Larry the Edge, well Robert Vess fell out of the hover and fell towards Larrys Edge, well it was exactly as close as it looks, everyone gasped for air,, ,, when Robert fell out he went up under Larry and right back into a Harrier,, amazing,,
