Photo of the Month - Rules for submissions

There have been some questions about the rules for the Photo of the Month contest. So here are the Official Rules for submissions.

1. The photo must be the original work of the person submitting the Photo. Remember all works of art including photos are copyrighted at the moment of creation.

2. The photo must be related to aviation or the RC hobby. Yes, photos of full scale aircraft can be submitted.

3. The photo must be recent. It doesn't have to be taken during the month of the contest but less than two years old.

4. The photo can only be entered in one Monthly contest. If you have submitted it in one contest, submit a different photo in later contests.

5. Photo size should be at least 650 pixels wide. This allows for better viewing and judging of the work.

6. By submitting a photo you give FlyingGiants permission to use the photo on www.FlyingGiants.com for inclusion in the Forums, headers, or elsewhere on the site. You also give permission for the photos to be used in print, with by line including your name.

7. Winners may only receive one prize package during a 6 month period. If one of the top 3 winners has won during the past 6 months the prize package will be awarded to the first Honorable Mention.

8. FlyingGiants Staff Members are not eligible for prizes. Their photos may be submitted but they can only receive Honorable Mention in the contest.

Notice: Rule change - Rule 7 has been changed to include permission for the submitted photos to be used in print.

Reason for the change - We have been contacted by a magazine for permission to print the winning photos. The photographer will be credited with the photo in the byline.

This is a great opportunity for the modeling community at large to view your work.
