im useing the xti now.. with 78-105 USM , it works ok,, but id like a nice low f lense for deeep focus macros and landscapes. tho i may upgrade to the 30D . that is the 10mpx other then my xti that is out now? i havent looked to hard.. at the moment im trying to figure out if autofocus can be out of adjust..

Send it back to canon if you have doubts, I had a 20D that wasnt focusing right, I sent it in, it was fast, and they even warrantee'd it even though it was out and I bought it used.

The 30D is not 10mp.. You dont need 10mp to take good pictures, heck, for the web not even close.. Ive blown pics up to 20" wide, as long as they are sharp to start look good, but typically I get prints about 8x10 or 12x14 and they are perfect.

The 40D is the newest one, Im content with my 30D, so not looking around until I can spring for a 5D

i may email canon on the subject.. i think more then anything is my bad eyes haha.. so you know if tinkering with the view finder dial would affect af? that 5d is badazz, id be ok with a 20 d.. but its old now.. it was the 40 d i looked at im also shooting with glasses so im not always right on the view finder. heres a example of what its looking like with af now. .. more searching needs to be done for me.. thanks

Email canon, that pic looks decent to me, there is a test you can print out and shoot pics of to test front or rear focusing of a camera on some of the forums. fredmiranda.com is a good one to search for info.
Adjusting the eye piece (diopter?) wont adjust the autofocus.
PS. I shoot with glasses too.

yea thats what that things called haha, im thinking it will effect the manual focus tho, since its being adjusted to my eye.. and not the sensor.. thatsa cool page!, im gonna have to find the focus print out... thanks again
