| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | The 5th EMAC of the 2007 series was held last Saturday. The weather was perfect with light wind coming straight down the runway. We had a good turnout of pilots and some real good flying. As you can see by the results there were some very close contests that were not decided until the final round. Steve Neu has moved up to Sportsman leaving the Basic class up for grabs. Randy just barely edged out Chris and Lucas. Chris has made a big leap forward. He has recently aquired a 100cc Extra and has been practicing hard for his IMAC debut in July. Andy Portman came down with Howard Pilcher and flew my 60" Extra and did a great job considering he had never flown the plane. He had a close battle with Mike Root who was also flying that plane. Howards plane was showing some weird behaviour and unfortunately was unable to compete. MadMax was scheduled to come down but unfortunately a personal matter came up at the last minute. He promised to make the next one and try to take me on in Sportsman. This is my turf Max! It looks like many of the pilots have been putting in some serious practice time. The level of flying has improved greatly. Many of these guys would be very competative in IMAC at this point. Congratulation guys! Once again Tim Attaway served as CD and did a great job. This event just would not be possible without his help. Dixon lopez arranged for Horizon Hobbies to sponsor the next two events. They generously donated two ARFs, hats and cup holders. Thanks again Horizon and Dixon! Mike Morgan of Depron West donated two of his new YAK foamies that he and Pedro have been developing. I have flown one and they are setting a new level of performance in this class of plane. The new YAK is just about perfect. Here are the results, Pictures will follow. Results: Basic Randy Marsden 2939 Justin Coe 2878 Chris Boutelle 2873 Dickson Lopez 2859 Lucas Worthen 2806 Steve Belknap 2775 Craig Hunter 2736 Craig Bosworth 2672 Alfred Ramirez 2531 Shawn Belknap 2234 Sportsman Pedro Brantuas 3000 Ray Fulks 2894 Steve Dente 2828 Mike Root 2765 Andy Portman 2758 Steve Neu 2753 Barry Mattingly 2733 Howard Pilcher 169 -Steve- |
