Mike, what you need to do is have your mom and dad show about an hour earlier to have your plane ready and to be at the Pilots meeting for you, then you can just fly at the last minute. All refreshed and almost wide eyed! Ha! 100 sheep 99 sheep.... 98 sheep..... 97 sheep... ...... ...... 56 sheep... ... ... |

Sound like everyday NW weather. Our best season is probably slightly more than your worst unflyable days of the year. We all juggle things just to get to the field. It sure helps out when the weather co-operates too.

Mike, Great write up dude!! We all are truly blessed to be afforded the opportunity to compete in what is though of as one of the biggest IMAC style events in the country. (thank you DA and all of the supporters) I for one feel so very fortunate and am very honored to have the opportunity to represent the hobby for what is really is; good people and the good times, that I like to call LIFE. I honestly am very proud and offten humbled by my fellow flyers that I have met along this journey and look forward to many more good times to be had as we continue our efforts in this struggle to become who we think we ought to be. Thanks again Rainman/Pastor for the kind words of encouragment for all and may the R/C gods look after you and all at the TAS. Look forward to seeing you all and meeting new friends at the Shootout. Michael |

Michael, When are you leaving for Tucson? Are you driving or flying? Let's all try to hook up and park close together. It's gonna be a blast! See you there. |

It was a good day of practice yesterday. Johnboy, however, has far to much time on his hands. He needs to get a real job! I would give him lecture #84, but it would go in one ear and out the other.... just kidding. Good flying Predator.... go, go, go.....! |

We will be leaving home (RV'ing) on Sunday and staying in Las Vegas Sunday night and then pull into Tucson sometime Monday afternoon. Hopefully soon enough to get a few flights in that afternoon. It sounds like a great idea about staying close to each other. Maybe we could have a little after hours fun as a group a few of the evenings. Really starting to sink in now!!! WOW When are you all from that area starting the trek? I will save as many spots as we need if I am the first to show up, but I'm sure some of you all will be there before me so maybe you could do the same? Great luck to all, Michael |

We'll be looking forward to it Michael. We are leaving Thursday and expect to pull into Tucson around Saturday. We will go to the practice field, then move to the contest field on Monday, or sooner. Call me 253-318-9347. It will be a great time to hang out and learn allot. It is going to be somewhat surreal for awhile. I'll have to pinch myself occasionally. Just going has helped me to become more disciplined to practice harder. It is going to be so much fun to fly with all the talent that will be there. I am honored and very humbled too. We'll be hooking up with Jim Gilbert, his wife Tamera, and their incredible superdog Harley in Oregon and caravan down together. It's going to be like a homecoming for me, as I have a brother there, and actually lived in Tucson for three and a half years, eons ago. We are going to have a blast. There is this franchise called Lucky Wishbone and they have "the best" steakfingers, and another killer hamburger place called Whataburger. They make a mean jalapeno burger! See you guys soon, give me a yell. Rainman |

This is really gonna be a "road trip" to look forward to. I am sure there are many of us who have been all but worthless at work the last couple of weeks, not being able to think about anything else. I did not fly when I lived in Tucson before so it's gonna be fun to have all that visibility! See you there. Rainman | ||||||||||||||||||
