They would be very expensive. Not practical to produce. This is not the type of work I do, I am a die maker, my company manufactures precision metal stampings. I just use my support equipment for my hobby from time to time. Eric |

Again nice work, I'd pay at least twice that for those mounts. 5oz is good, I am at 3-1/2 oz with my wood one but yours looks better. Ken

Any chance this could be built to use just one servo per aileron, maybe add another servo bay in the center of the wing and possibly a hard point and bracing of some sort in the ailerons? I'm completely torn between this plane or the Aeroworks 75cc 260 QB for the DA 85. I do love the 540's though. I'm sure wondering how this will fly with the 85. Both planes seem to be built equally well? I know bigger flies better. Love both color schemes. The 260 seems to be coming in around 22 to 23lbs. any idea where this one will be with the 85? I've not owned or flown anything larger than 50cc yet. Somebody please make up my mind already. |

I echo Chrisk7. I would be very interested to know how the 36% PAU Edge flys with the DA 85 versus the DA 100. I have also thought about the 75 cc AW 260 with a DA 85, however, I fly almost all 3D so for me, I am thinking the Edge might be better. Having said that.....DA 85 or DA 100......how about some opinions about what people think the differences would be? |

I had two very brief flights with mine this weekend on an 85. I can't tell you to much about how the plane flys, however I can tell you it was very light on the wings and it had plenty of vertical with an 85. My all up weight is 24lbs 12oz I think less than 24 lbs could easily be achieved. Carbon main gear, tail wheel, spinner and a lighter engine mount than I'm using. 24lbs 2125 sq in of wing! Eric |

I have not flown the Aeroworks 75cc Extra but I have seen one fly with a DA 85. After flying my 35% Extra with a DA 85. In my OPINION, I believe the DA 85 is way overkill for the Aeroworks 75cc plane. Again in my opinion I think you are much better off putting the 85 in a 35% airframe for better 3D. The lighter wing loading is much more important than the extra power unless you want to do endless uplines all day.

I am still waiting on a maiden for mine, should be this weekend. Will get pics and a final weight this weekend. I am sure the 85 would be plenty for the plane, but I like the advantages of the 100.

24 lbs is no surprise to us. As with the 43%, the weights are conservative. The very first prototype was fitted with a BME 110 and was 24lbs. It was the first plane I have flown that seemed grossly overpowered. The second was a DA-100 at 26 lbs. Trust me, I would not be putting an 85 in mine if I thought it was not going to be plenty. Not to mention the fact of how light it is on the wing. Eric, Have you contacted DA about your IGN yet? Chris, I'll send you a PM. Ken
