Looking good on the build. Pictures of your engine mounting and baffles (if you install them) as well as placement of your stuff would be nice, which I am sure you were going to do anyways. Can't wait to get mine, even though I won't be flying them till next year.

oilsands- I will defninetly take pictures and details on how i set up the equipment and how i mount my cannisters. There is no can mount included with the plane, but its no big deal. I can easily make one. I will try and get the motor mounted by friday.(school is a beast). plaster93- No there is no mount in the tail for the servo. IN order to do that you would ahve to cut the covering in the back section away and install a peice of plywood. I know the pau guys are reading this and they may consider making this option in the next batch of planes, but i dont think tis really necessary, unless thats something a majority of people want.

For precision flying I really like it. Also much easier to setup and keep the same year after year. Drawback......weight in the tail.

I was getting bored sitting up here so i decided to do antoher thing before calling it quits for the day. I managed to glue the rudder on and install the rudder horn. Which was too easy.(ill probably be using that phrase quite a bit in this build.

I'm also a new PAU 36% Edge owner and very pleased with the service and the plane is beautiful........I will also show and talk about my build but can't keep up with the "Rocket Man Harv" Watching Ken & Jeff fly thier 540's on Sunday was a real treat.....I got to see how this plane performed with a DA 85 & the 100cc and I am impressed with both setups.......I will be using a brand new DA 100cc, headers & MTW-TDH 75 front intake--rear exhaust cans......more to come, with pictures as well......off to work. Harv: am I going to see it fly at the club this weekend

Scott, It was nice to meet you this weekend! You guys should come down more often, at least for our Big Bird event in June! That one is a blast!!! Our club and your club used to set aside a weekend every year and we would do just an all-bird type fly-in and would alternate fields every-other-year. Maybe we oughtta try and get that going again? Enjoy your new Edge!! Once Harv gets his done (today? ), you will have no choice but to kick it in the rear on yours!!! You will find it really does go together sooo quickly!!Regards, Jeff |
