I have a friend who used the eq on his latest 100cc setup with hitec servos. He said it was easy to program and very similar to the hitec programmer.

In the beginning of this thread, Ken shows some cannister installation pics. Only thing different with a pipe would be total length, and I believe there is enough room in the 36% (as with the 43%) to accomodate a full length tuned pipe.

No go on the tuned pipe. The tunnel is only deep enough for the cans. You'd have to rebuild the back of the tunnel and the rudder servo tray.

Mike, is there just a plate to remove to accomodate the longer pipes, or is it more involved than that? It would be killer to see a DA-85 with the new MTW RE3 pipe powering one of these planes. The video of Reza flying the QQ Yak like pylon racer was pretty impressive!

A hole would need to be cut. There isn't quite enough room behind the plate, without moving the servo tray. It could be done, but not very easy.

Yep, what he said. I thought about it. It may be worth it on the 85 but I went with the 100.

Better choice in IMHO. The planes I flew......I preferred the 100 over the 85.

Having done both, the 85 is the best motor for a pure freestyle aircraft. The 100 is great for smoothness and precision. If I just wanted to 3d all the time and didn't mind a little extra noise, the 85 is the ticket for me. On a side note here is Starpigs Edge on floats. Ken

I'd make fun of him for not flying, but then I didn't even take mine out of the trailer
