Yeah, I think so to....... I wanted to thank you guys for the build thread here as that's what finally pushed myself over" the edge" (PUN) The pro-links and hardware included with this looks top notch and makes it that much more complete, which i like in an ARF. I was watching this plane since the "who's interested? thread" and since decided i was going to do one of Bill Hemple's 50%ers..... after some pretty steep unforseen truck repairs the other day, i decided i would have to put that on the back burner for awhile...... i figured i could build one of these for about 1/2 the price...... I guess i will just go with the 50% this Fall instead. At least this will fill my "itch" for a BIG edge! Looking forward to this one guys..... please post up on the wing replacements and how you guys are liking yours...........

Ment to ask before..... After reading this thread early on..... Are the Aielerons already Glued in? I recall reading the Rudder was the only surface that needed to be glued..... Is this true? That would be cool as that is the part i hate most about ARF's....... Naaaaa, I'm not getting lazy am I ??? ![]() |

The ailerons are glued, just need to gap seal even though there is not much of a gap at all. As soon as my wings arrive I will add an addendum to the build thread with details. Glad the build thread help you decide to get one of these, they fly fantastic. I hope to get my ready for an IMAC in a couple weeks. David

3-d flyer, I caution you on the use of the DA-170: this plane is so light, it does not need any more power than the 150, and this overpowering may lead to unforeseen problems. The engine specified is a 150cc, and not a 150cc and up. |
