I never did get mine painted before I left. It'll be a couple months now before I can attempt to finish it.

Been working on one of these the past few weeks. Its been a fair amount of work to get it to this point but I hope its worth it in the end. Fairly happy with the build up but not sure I'd want to tackle another Ultimate again.

I cant wait to get it in the air, but I still need to fit the mufflers (DLE111) and some small stuff to be finished. Shouldnt be long now I hope.

A few pics of my progress if anyone is interested:

You will have fun with this plane. It does have more work than most arf's these days, but some like that (glueing hinges in place).

It wasnt so much as gluing the hinges in place. Infact that was the easiest part of the whole assembly. It just took a little longer and a little more work than I'm used to, but for the money spent it seems to be a decent airframe. Hopefully once I fly it it will go from decent to outstanding. We shall see.

So far I'm very happy with the way it turned out, It should definatly get some attention at the local flying field. Its a good size airframe and my first plane in the 100cc class. hopefully maiden flight will be next weekend. Been flying 50cc stuff for a while now and decided to try something a little bigger with this one.

Biplanes are always crow pleazers. They also take a little more to build them and put them together at the field. I flew Ken's which is now Jason's up here in the NW. I loved it. I just wish mine was up and flying. I'll be painting first thing when I get back

Thanks, It took some planning but it came out fairly decent.

Setup:
Hitec 7950 for rudder (hoping it will be enough)

Hitec 5955's for ailerons and elevators

Hitec 5625 for throttle

I will also be running 2x 2100mah 2s lipos for the receiver (I didnt have the other installed at the time)
