I finally got all the accessories for my Extra 330L and got it finished on the 15th. Balanced it at 6" back with a slight tendency to drop the tail. Got a good day, the next day, on Saturday to run in the new DL50. Turned 6700 rpm's with a Vess 22B prop. Final weight is around 15# 13 oz. It should be a rocket. Now to get the weather to break. Need to get rid of the snow and get a warm day to try it out. Does anybody know where to get paint to match the pearl red metallic? I need some to do a small repair on the cowling I left off the wheel pants to save weight. Don't need no stinking wheel pants!! Using Hitec 5955 servos, TBM Li-on batteries for the RX power, 1100 mah 4.8v Nicad for the ignition,Futaba 9C TX, DL50 for power, Kavan 4" wheels, Dave Brown 3.5" spinner with lightened backplate and MPI sw/regs.
