It'll be done in the next few days!

I temp put the plane together last night. Going to work on the Elevators/Rudder covering today and sand the cowl down. I got the yellow covering I needed from a club member here in Whidbey!

| PICTURE UPDATE! First up is the Elevator with some holes in it. I tried to keep from being to far to the edges. Still pretty stiff and with covering should be ok. DSC01508.JPG Next we have the plane put together temp wise. DSC01504.JPG Then a side shot of the rudder. Its probably going to change slightly from this scheme though. This was my initial hack at it about 3 weeks ago. DSC01503.JPG A picture of the dash DSC01506.JPG A picture of the side (minus the yellow strips on the black, I'll get to those later tonight) DSC01505.JPG Here is the back of the hatch with the opening. The fuse will get some black monokote to cover up the balsa poking through. DSC01507.JPG Finally the Elevator with the scheme. DSC01509.JPG

Progress is slow tonight. I stripped the Horizontal so I can redo the scheme to match the plane better. Here's the new list of things left to do. 1. Right stab cover (already glued hinges from previous scheme I had on it) 2. Cover Horizontal Stab 3. Glue in Klett hinges into rudder 4. Run servo wires up the center mounts for the top wings (I'm not running them through the cabanes) 5. Sand/Paint the cowl/wheel paints 6. Glue Canopy down Not looking good at this point for finishing it before Wed. I installed some radio gear though. EQ6, Rudder servos and bottom wing aileron servos and leads are all in along with the elevator leads already ran

Got the cowl and wheel pants sanded and primed. I then cut out the exhaust ports for mufflers and drew the lines for cooling from a fish gill template. I still need to baffle and final sand the parts before paint. Sadly it won't be done prior to Big Bird. I'll bring it for Show, but that is all.
