There is still more to do besides the paint. I just don't have the time to get it done

It'll be fun to see it in person, even if it isn't flying yet.

Well I didn't make it. I never got around to painting the parts. I also found out I am missing 2 angle brackets for the flying wires. I probably lost them in the rush to get things done. I'll have to get Ken to send me some snail mail. Never covered the rudder post or the 2nd elevator. Didn't get a chance to seal any hinge lines either. I did get most of the inside wired up though. Spent today trying to figure out how to get my planes in the trailer. I got it all figured out and will be packing up tomorrow for the trip.

Here's a "Never Expected" thing. I went to my trailer to get something at a Fly-In that I brought the Ulti to for show and tell. The Ulti was in there with the Elevators on. The right one hadn't been recovered yet. I saw all this foam shavings under the plane and thought a guy building a foamie 2 trailers over was getting dust in my trailer until we heard this loud scratching noise. First thought was surfaces rubbing the side of the trailer. Next thought was a mouse in the fuse. NEVER thought a bee would be borrowing in the foam on the wing. We put some foam safe CA in the hole and he backed out. Then we hit him with kicker. He went in the plane about an inch or more. ![]()

Just think of the damage had I not noticed it. I'd say I caught it about 20mins into the carnage. Imagine if it was there all night. I'd have no foam left in the stab

I have not had time to work on my planes much. I've been trying to get the Cub done (it doesn't need painting or covering). I also just got an alum servo mount for the throttle servo today. Work has been kicking my butt this week. Hopefully these next few days will slow down a little and I can get back to work on them

Sam, how did you make the round holes in the surfaces? Forget it, I just went back to the begining and found the answer there.

For those that didn't.......I used a sanding drum on my drill press. This is a PITA method. I really need to invest in one of these ![]() They are about $100 from Harbor Freight or Home Depot. I've used these before on other planes and they work alot faster and better than what I did.
