I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank, yet again, Mr. Hartness, the Hartness International Crew, Mrs. Carol, Laura, and all of the folks who make this event ABSOLUTE HEAVEN ON EARTH!!! This is a one of a kind event, and from the FlyingGiants perspective, we are absolutely in debt to everyone involved with it.

Mr. Pat has yet again taken the Triple Tree facility to all new levels with the addition of the lower field, gazebo, and flying area. I've only seen photos of the construction, and it's unbelievable to believe the property has been developed even furtherr. If you've never been out there before, this is a monument to model aviation, and the most amazing place you could ever imagine visiting.

Wearing an FG hat or shirt, represents a team of modelers who are at one with the Joe Nall, and are willing to lend a hand however possible, and we're always honored to be a part of it. This will be my 5th Joe Nall, and the TT Crew has myself, and the FG Staff and crew at their disposal for whatever is required. Donating anything to helping this event is something to be cherished. If you call yourself a FlyingGiant and fly the colors, you just became a volunteer

And regarding the lower field, 2.4, and 3D - ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT idea guys. The more folks who can fly, the better, and this absolutely makes sense and is well thought out, and is a great plan for expanding the fun we can have. IMO, 3D on the main runway during the peak of the event creates chaos with all the traffic - this is a good thing. My advice, show up early in the week, fly your pants off, and enjoy all the action when the show officially starts. Short of that, this is not going to be a complaint thread. Period. We are lucky to have the Nall.

It's VERY important to remember that the Nall is not a 3D event. It's not a warbird event. It's not a scale event, nor a float fly. It's a celebration of modeling, a camaraderie of brothers, and is time when modelers of all backgrounds can enjoy a week of unimaginable fun.

I can't wait until May. You have no idea.

Mrs Carol and Laura - THANK YOU for keeping us updated. Greetz from that city slicker in California.

Tec, noise issues are specifically mentioned in the letter.

To answer your question, no. Just be noise conscious, and don't rip your prop. Very simple.

Thanks. MD

We have talked about most of these ideas, just haven't came up with our final plan yet. I can not say for sure that this time, but we had "people movers" at the full scale event and if I have to drive one the entire time myself, I would bet we will have them at the Nall also. We are still working out the details and I'm sure all of the thoughts addressed here will be discussed. (Getting airplanes / people back and forth will be the first one I bring back up.)

It would be nice to have plane trailers also,, I don't think the new flight line will be that busy because of the distance from the main runway ,, ,but who knows,,

The year's Joe Nall is going to be the best ever.
