You never get tired of hearing about the Nall. We have been going for the last four years and this year we brought planes with us. Smart move, we had a blast. The field there is so awesome, well the whole place. The Nall is on the list of must do every year. People you try to explain it to just can't picture what it's all about till they see it for themselfs. I still remember the first time I came up over the hill and WOW!!! Thats all I can say. Lets all hope May 2010 gets here quick. Can't wait.

Right now I'm thinking of going to the Nall next year. Visit family in PA the week before and rent a RV for a week and drive down to the Nall then back to PA before heading back here to Japan.

I didn't get to make it this year, I am closer than most, only takes me about an hour and twenty minutes from my house here to get to the field. I plan on being there next year and I will bring a couple of planes. Hope to meet some of you guys there. |

| Ok, lets see here? Went to from So.Ut (110 miles north of Vegas) to Bowling Green Kentuky once for the inagural "Mobil 1 World Ford Challange" in 21 hours. Averaged 105 mph there, got two tickets on the way![]() , took my time driving home. That was back in 1997 in a 95' Mustang with lots of go fast goodies, non stop driving between two of us. Think about that for a sec. 104-105mph average. We were f'in wide open for hours flying thru MO, KS, IL, and Kentuky. Dont think i could do that again, especially with a trailer full of planes, lol. It was like the cannonball run. Cant believe that stang held together for the living sh!t that got beatin out of it. Drove from VA to So.Utah in 5 days in a 90' Stang in 1991, but was with the old man and definatly never hit even 100. Not even close, well mabey once, , or twice. Mabey. So in my truck with trailer, by myself unless i can find someone else to share wheel holding duties, i'll geusstimate 6-7 days at 8-10 hours a day. In a motorhome add 1-2 more days each way. Whew, this doesnt sound like fun. Mabey i should just frieght a plane over, rent a van/motorhome there, and fly in on first class. Thats sounds more realistic than two weeks of driving and one week of flying. One day of traveling each way. Im not retired yet. Even though it would be worth the drive at least once, i dont know that im up for that much driving these days. I would definatly have to fly all day everyday at Nall if i went, so a plane has to go with me. I wouldnt ask somone else for a plane to borrow just in case somthing went wrong, that would just plane suck for two people instead of one i am not in it to ruin anyone else's fun.![]() Ok that the plan so far. There's plenty of crate building time. I cut up my last crate to ship a sold smaller plane. Now the real question is do i bring the 40%er, 37.5%er, or a 35%er? plus equipment. oh i hate making these kind of decisions. Its 3:38 in the morning. I uh, , im out of , uh ,![]() |
