Default dual RX battery question

OK experts, help me with what may be a stupid question please. Can I run 2 batteries to the receiver by simply plugging one into the battery slot of RX and the other battery into an unused channel on the RX? I'm planning to use 2 Fromeco 2600's with Fromeco regs. Am I making things too simple? I really like to keep things simple.

Sure can. In fact, if you don't have enough open slots in the RX, you can Y the battery to a servo.

It's good actually to use a Smart Fly Super Reg. It allows you to adjust the voltage that goes to your reciever. And combine that with a power tray or Power Expander and you can run higher voltage on the servos and a lower voltage on the reciever. But other than that you have the right idea. Simpler is much better. Less stuff to go wrong.

Hi,

I've been thinking about battery backup for ages but was warned off this idea as on the 'other place' they told me that this was ok unless on battery discharged and then things would take a turn for the worst ?

add all the devices you want --
if the battery (s)can't stand a load which depresses below 4 volts - you got a problem

Make sure you match the regulators. They come with instructions on how to do so.
