With the problem you described, The rec ch 8 goes to expander ch 1, 7-2, 6-3, 5-4, 4-5, 3-6, 2-7, 1-8, why can't you just mount the receiver inverted and make everything line up?

Yes sleepy that does suck Possibly my only complaint with the smartfly unit, BUT they do make sure to tell you this when ordering it from Smart Fly. A hitec super slim will work perfectly with your unit too.

I have since cleaned up the wires that are laying all over , so no "hack" comments, but heres the reciever, and you will notice how tight the white leads are, and 2 how the channels arn't right... But what ever.. I know which ones are what so if it works, I'm keeping it!

Smart fly board is set up for the 149DP. Yours is the cheaper version & thats why the channels don't line up. Also, I believe the 149DP is an end loading reciever.

sorry.. most servos deliver their highest torque and speed at 6.0v.. so, if i connect a 6.0v nimh or a 6.0v regulated lion pack to the PE input what would be the voltage supplied to each servo? |

It does not matter if the channels line up. Just keep track of the different channel to the output channel. I used to use NiMh 6 volt packs with no reg or expander (which is not that safe to do). Then switched to LiIon with reg and expander(Smart-Fly) and clearly noticed an increase in speed and power (with reg set at 6.5 volts)> I think this is due to the larger wires and the separate distribution of the servos with the expander. Plus I like the peace of mind with the failsafe on/off switch.

Looks good sleepy , you could double stick a piece of medium density foam and stick one side to the power expander the other to the receiver if you wanted to. You saw how my flamed ZN was done, you can also run the full 6.6 volts from your regulator to your servos but only 5 volts to your receiver. that way you can get more out of your 5955s. I have run 7.4 through one without it frying, but I would not recommend it, it was just something I was working to see if I could run less servos and still have the grunt that the 5955 puts out at 7.4. Less weight, more fun, I have a few more trick things I am working on, but they are top secrat at this time.
