Help! First dual battery set-up

I just bought a Wolverine switch for my giant scale, and a Sahara regulator. Now the switch has 2 inputs & 2 outputs, while the regulator has 1 of each. My question is, can I use a "Y" to connect the 2 batteries to the regulator, or do I need to purchase another regulator? I hope this don't seem like a dumb question, this is my first attempt at a dual battery set-up. Thanks in advance, Joe

Whoa I was totally wrong in what I first typed here. Apparently not such a dumb question.

Check out the different setups you can have on this link below. They are at the bottom and you are setup #1. You connect the batteries at the switch inputs (Deans connector), the regulator at the switch output (Deans connector). Then you go into a single receiver (JR connectors?). What input and output plugs do you have on your Sahara regulator? Since my receivers have the JR servo/battery ports I'd need a Deans plug on the input and two JR plugs on the output of the regulator. If your receiver can accept a Deans then you'd just need a single Deans. There's quite a bit to this in order to get it all right. The only thing I don't like about this setup is that the regulator is the single point of failure in the current path. I'd prefer two regulators. Maybe with the A123 you can get rid of the regulators altogether.

My switch I ordered with standard JR input and outputs, same with the regulator. And, yes, I see what you mean about the failure point. I might as well order up another regulator...thanks for your input.

Sounds like a good plan. What's weird is why they don't show the setup you want to do. I guess they think the regulators can't fail. They should show another version of the diagram #1 with two regulators going into 1 receiver.
