There is also the thought that you could charge a plane with dual RX batts, iginiton batt, And charge a smaller plane that just has one RX batt and iginition batt. Some people like to have more than one plane with them at the field to fly.

Also the Fromeco charger does not have an issue with 2 packs that share a common ground..I love mine!

I can use my Dura light charger on the Fromeco packs right? Not to sound retarded but whoever makes the packs and places their label on them they are all essentially the same cells or nearly the same cells you would find in a laptop battery pack.

I would imagine at worse case scenario put some separate charge leads on to charge the cells individually.

Most Duralite chargers won't shut off at 8.4v. I have two of them and every single port will overcharge a pack without the Duralite circuitry. They work fine with the Duralite battery packs, but the tolerance isn't where it needs to be to charge other packs (in my opinion). That is why my D chargers are going up for sale and I am getting a 5 ch Fromeco.

my only hangup with the Fromeco charger is that you cant plug into the wall, you have to buy a AC-DC converter, I wish they would make a charger like Duralites where you have that option with the purchase of the charger.

I have volt meters on the my Duralite charge ports so I know when the battery gets to 8.4v. I guess that answers that!!

I really like my Fromeco 4 port charger. The 2amp option is really nice for charger the 2400mah to 4800mah packs. You get a consistent charge everytime and don't have to worry about overcharging. I had 2 duralite chargers and sold them both when I got this one.
