Default Re: Fromeco Battery And Regulator Ballance

I had the same problem with my Fromeco Batts and Regulators. I simply rasied the ouput voltage by 0.05v (on reg) on the side that wasn't discharging. They still aren't pefect, But they are always within 100 ma of each other now.

Just a thought: if you are trying to charge the batteries through a charge port in your switches with both batteries still plugged into the receiver, then your charger is not getting a true reading on each seperate battery because the receiver is a common bus at that point.

You have to disconnect at least one of the batteries from the receiver before you try to recharge.

I run Nimh's, not lipo's, but the problem is still the same when you have a dual battery/switch system and charging (assuming) through ports in the switches.

Just my experience.

Well, got the BatShare from Bob at Smart-Fly and that has taken care of ALL my issues. After four 13 minute flights, both batteries dropped exactly the same. One thing I did notice, and I'm not sure if it has anything to do with anything, but when I was flying and charging with the twin regulator setup, the batteries would come up to 8.1V after a charge. Now that I've installed and flown with the BatShare, the I'm getting an 8.3V peak charge on both batteries. Again, not sure what that's all about, but I like it.
Here's a picture with the dual regulator setup:
