| Flyin' Around ![]() | Allright Jr fans.... I have a jr 10x heli version radio that I haven't used at all because frankly when I purchased it i figured I'd sell it and keep flying a Hitec optic 6 radio. Now that I'm finding out just how great this radio is I'm wondering if anyone had any experience flying planes with it. Pro's/Con's suggestions welcome. thanks, Brent |

| Flyin' Around ![]() | yeah, yeah, i know, I know. I had the hitec way before the jr. but do note, it's the heli version. I have heard from countless people that it still works to fly planes. I'm beginning to fly more and more planes and getting into warbirds and gassers that I'd like to put smoke on, retracts, flaps, ect.ect...... I know that each radio (plane version and heli version in the jr) is specifically designed for each use. dillema is I don't know about using it for all the things I mentioned. thanks again |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Now I'm confused and this may be a dumb question... While I'm a Futaba guy, but one who's waiting for a new JR X9303 radio, I was always under the impression that the JR 10X came in either heli or airplane versions. Unlike the XP9303 which has programming for both, that you had to choose which as there isn't programming for both types on the 10X? |

| Flyin' Around ![]() | No, Zeeb. the older 10x radio is either the airplane radio or the heli radio. Our club had a swap-n-shop last october and I purchased an old heli that came with the radio. A guy can fly planes with the heli radio....its just specifically designed for heli's. I got the heli and radio for less than what I've ever seen the radio sell for. I just thought I'd sell the radio to get a heli free but now I'm considering keeping the radio since I need more channels for flaps and retracts. |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | hpelsromantic, I'll make it easy for you. I have a pristine 10X Air and want a 10X Heli (I have more heli's than I thought I'd ever have). If you're radio is in good shape like mine I propose a trade. My radio was bought from a Jet guy who was anal about caring for it and I've never used the radio since I bought it. It was my backup radio when I was flying IMAC, but since going more and more to heli's I'm in need of a 10X Heli version. Rich Sornborger |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | If you don't tell the radio that it is a heli radio it whon't know. I flew my 40% 330 for two years with a heli 10X, the biggest difference in my opinion is the fact that the heli version doesn't have assigned mixes for rudder to elev. etc. It does however have enough mixes to make it work. The airplane version gets you there a little easier but the same can be done with both. Albert |

| Flyin' Around ![]() | Thank you Al. I appreciate it. I guess all I needed was actually hearing confirmation. Are there any suggestions as to what receiver i should use. i'm puting it into my first 30% plane. I suppose i need to go with a "jr" pcm? |
