Help! Single & Dual Conversion Rx

Hey, wondering if a Single conv. receiver will work with a dual conversion Tx. or vice versa. I'm not sure if this matters or if I am even asking the right question, but clarification is greatly apreciated. Thanks.

single or dual has nothing to do with the transmitter at all.it is how the reciver filters the incomeing signal and noise
