Default Dual RX question

I want to setup my 102'' QQ Yak with dual receivers. I have a Futaba 319 and a Futaba 138. Does it matter that they are different models, or can they still be used together? Thanks guys.

Is there a way to jump them so that one of them feeds power from the other in case a batt, switch or reg fails in one?

Just make a male/male jumper and connect them through a spare channel.

Out of curiosity, why are you wanting to run two recievers anyway?

I run twin RXs just for the reason of loosing/ lockout on one RX do to bat, reg`s,switch, Rx, failure. we still have the other. also if i have ever got hit i have`nt noticed.

vic3D i run smartfly HD-Regs that have twin leed`s with in & out so I can cross these leed`s to each rx. so now i have both batt`s & regs running either RX.

That's kinda what I figured. I just realized that I might be getting ready to start another dual Rx VS single Rx war, so I'll keep my comment to myself.

BTW, do you run each Rx on it's own battery, or do you have them jumped together like Vic wants? I'm just curious how other people have done it.

I run each reciever on its own battery, switch and regulator. I do not have a jumper connected to both. One reciever controls the left side of the plane and the other reciever controls the right side of the plane. Rudder is split between both recievers and mixed.

thats my set up as well.....

in my little pea brain...running a jumper defeats the purpose of isolating each system....

I have the same set up as exeter_acres with no jumper. Vic what type of battery are you using? If you use a jumper and one battery pack shorts out it has a high chance of it taking out the other battery. IMHO I would not use a jumper. Hope this helps.
