The main receiver has two antenna perpendicular to each other. I would mount the satelite perpendicular to both the first two. So you will have antenna parallel to x, y and z axis. Then use a counter to see how good it is.

The Flight Log will tell you which one is better. If you don't have a flight log (sometimes called a data logger), get one....

I have always heard to not have it pointing strait out at the model. I put mine at the 45 degree angle.

No difference as long as your plane is close enough to see.

Happy Landings!

hi all thanks for the info
just one more thing if i turn tx on then rx the rx drives the servos past the end pont till it locks on then goes back is this the norm ?
it binds fine i set the smart safe and the fail-safe
if this is the norm it will stuff the servos on my park flyer as it has done
i hate to see what it will to big yak
the servos i am using is hitec 625 MG on the yak

Go through the binding process once more for the receiver to accept all your servo and trim settings. Be sure your throttle and trim and where you want them as a fail safe setting,

Happy Landings!

it does not seem to affect the 7 channel and below rx's. So it may have something to do with how the tx/rx combo figures out it can run in the 2048 resolution rather than the 1024 found in the 7 and lower channel rx's.
so it looks i will have to change all my servos more money
just wish i had on know this before the up grade
