I am sick of ponying up money for servos and I have a kmp yak that needs some would these work OK? Anyone use them? I got 4 for 130 on ebay... LG Servo 41x20x42mm 6.0V/0.17s/190oz-in I dont like 645mg's so I thought I would try these, saving my digitals for my bigger plane... http://integy.automated-shops.com/cg...25106132138.b2 |

those look really good! I'm with Fick on this one, try um and let us know! speaking of 6volt servos.....what all is involved in switching from 4.8v to 6v? is it just swapping the battery, or is there more to it?

Those look like they have pretty good specs for the money, let us know how it turns out! Huckin'Chikn, If you are swapping from 4.8-6.0 volts, you will most likely want to run a regulator since the voltage of a 6.0 pack fully charged is a lot higher than 6 volts. I have heard of some people running them without a regulator, but with a 6v pack fully charged, I think that would be pushing it. (I could be wrong, but I run my 6v and above packs with regulators to be safe) It is also a good idea to make sure that your servos are all rated for 6v, as I know of some (not sure exactly which ones) Futaba servos that are rated to be only used on 4.8. Hey Chikn If you're talking about 6V on an electric like in your avatar, then the best way to get 6V is with a Park BEC from Dimention Engineering http://www.dimensionengineering.com/ParkBEC6v.htm Larger electrics with standard or digital servos, then go with a UBEC from the same company or a seperate battery pack of 5 NIMH's. Glow or gas, then go with a regulator like Fromoco's etc. and an appropriate battery |

Plug them all into the receiver and exercise them a little for like 30 seconds. If none of them fail, they should give you some good working time!

| LG is a big company, they make just about anything in electronics, now if these servos are fake, that is another story http://us.lge.com/index.jhtml

Wow, If you follow the links in that first post they have some serious stuff on the market and the prices are not too shabby. 190 oz at 0.08 of a second is not exactly slow either. Now I'm tempted to try a set on my new test bed. AM 260 35% with that setup looks more than good. They have some excellent mini servos as well. Looks like time to get the CC out again. Kiwi |

Looks to me like that they are rated for 6V........... Have at it, dude!! Don't worry too much about using a Regulator. 6V is nominal voltage for a 5 cell pack. A 5 cell pack will charge up to over 7.5V, but will fall off to about 7V or under in just a matter of minutes!! Have no fear in using a 5 cell pack with those servos!! Only use a regulator if you are using Lithium batteries. 2 cell packs read 7.4V nominal, and 8.4V fully charged. I said that in case you are not up on Lithium batteries. ![]() Chris~

sorry for the slow response guys...a tornado touched down no more than 3 miles from my house on wed. so i'm staying at the in-law's house until my electricity comes back on Uncletoe, i was talkin about switching to 6v on my bigger nitro burners but thanks!! I'll have to check the stats on the servos i'm using now, and make sure they can handle 6v. I have hitec 545's, a 645mg for rudder, and a hs-85mg for throttle i think...i cant be sure cause they are back at my house
