Hey guys kind of off topic but, does anyone know how the flying conditions are out at Orchard farms ? Is it muddy, are guys flying there big aircraft. The reason I ask is b/c I am considering other flying site options in the STL and it seems that the dudes at orchard farms are right up my alley.

Thanks

CNB

I think I could go out on a limb and say that the majority of the people that fly out there regularly are Giant Scale guys. I definitely believe that it is the best site in the STL area (but I'm partial as I'm a a member there). The ground soaks up water pretty good.

Here are some pics from our open house in 2007, the grass is much better now. **Orchard Farm RC Open House June 9, 2007**

The crack master is right out at OFRC the majority of everyday fliers are giant scale. and field conditions are very good I have gone out there right after rain storms and not had any problems.

i have only been to orchard farms for the HF weekend last year and i can tell you right now that if i had the opportunity to associate with that field and those great people on a regular basis i would jump at the chance! the hospitality was second to none and the field condtions were fine. they sure take pride in that field. i can't imagine them not having that field in tip top shape at all times. there is just too much pride there!!!!

see y'all in the summer!

Matt,
it was great seeing you again at the e-fest!
Orchard Farm is most definately by far the BEST field anywhere in the st. louis area.
I plan on joining the club this year if i can ever find enough money. it is quite
expensive for me to join, and its about a 40min drive each way
