So who is coming to the STL Huckfest? It will be held at the Orchard farms field same place as last year, last weekend in June

We have to take the kid to get pictures done on Saturday then a wedding that night. Wish I could get out, sounds like its going to be nice this weekend.

I have been talking to mark and here is something new to this years Huckfest.

WARBIRD RACES!!!!!!!

Yea ok your thinking this is a huck fest whats with the warbird stuff, right?
well here is the plan. Almost all of us have a warbird of some size in the attic. and what better place to drag out the birds, hop them up HOW EVER you like and then chance its death with a all out race right on the deck. The pylons are 900 foot apart and there will be a couple 2 lap races to weed out the slower traffic. Then we get all the birds in the air for a flying start with a 20 lap race. you have to keep it down on the deck and mark has got all the local bird hunters out there with bird shot to make sure you stay in the boundries. ok the last part was a little joke but the rules will be in play you have to keep it down close to the ground and you have to stay in the boundries which will be pointed out at the field.
You can have ANY SIZE plane you want for this event with ANY POWER PLANT you want, just no foamies, or actual pylon racing planes like diago red type aircraft (or what ever they are), and NO JETS.
If you want to put a 90 size glow motor on a 40 size warbird, hey its fair game if you can finish the race. If you want to break out the 1/5 scale then go for it but this is a 1 class race to prevent it from taking too much time, so expect to be in the air with the little planes too.
Mark is working on what kind of bad ass prize(s) will be given out or he already has them but dont want to spill the beans just yet. Either way this is going to be awesome.
so..... that being said who is in on the warbird races b/c I know several of us here in arkansas is making the trip and bringing the warbirds to turn and burn with.
