Default ARF's for OS 120's

I'm an experienced builder that doesn't want to build a plane for an OS 120 MKIII at this time. Looking for a plane to assemble that is fun to fly. I am a capable flyer. I would prefer planes w/o retracts and is capable of stunting w/o being a handfull to land. In other words I don't like planes that snap on landings unless they're coming in at flying speed.

Hi Herb,

Welcome to Flying Giants. It looks like this is your first post.

Your question brings sooooo many choices to mind that I do not know how to answer it. Are you looking for a pattern capable model, a fun cruiser, scale, sport? Can you give us a little bit to narrow the range?

I am sure you will get many good suggestions.

The best flying plane ever for this size is the OMP Fusion 90. I was going to sell it because i was flying my 50cc gasser most the summer; flew the fusion to show some people and reminded my self how great it was and didnt sell it. It will stay with me till it crashes then ill get another one. I will also recover it this winter if i get some time.

I totally agree with flatlandman on this one. OMP fusion 90 is the perfect one. You will not be dissapointed.

Thanks to the two chaps that unanimously suggested an OMP 67" Fusion to meet my requirements. Your comments were positive and to the point. I went on the OMP site and was pleased with what I saw. I will be ordering one.

They are, and mine came in at 7# 6oz's with 2 ele servos a saito 125 and a 2 oz brass prop nut on the front for nose weight.

remove the ele servo and the prop nut and its at or under 7#'s

One last thing use some better hinge material; the stuff that comes with it isnt to my liking.

I have had a few OS 1.20's and it worked best in a Goldberg Sukhoi I sold. I have one in a Goldberg Pitts Monster right now, but it isnt really enough. Never tried it in a Funtana.
They work good in the Hanger 9 100" Cubs if you like that type of plane and if you can get one.......

Thanks again for all your suggestions. At the moment Im covering the fuselage of a Dynaflyte Spitfire. My original Spit bit the dust because I failed to extend the xmtr antenna when in a hurry at a meet. I saved the wing and stab but needed a new fuse. Happy holidays. I'll write again some time and relate the flight of the Fusion. Bye.........
