I just posted this on the probro website but I figure I'd share over here as well. After all how many guys do you know that is still flying RC at 90 years old. I'll be lucky to be upright even at 60. This past Sat he turned 90 and all the family got together to celebrate. We started the day out going flying and ended it with a party. He doesn't fly Giant Extra's, Edges or yaks but to me he's about the biggest flying giant I'll ever know. Here he is with his 200% Scale Kadet he scratch built a few years ago. His name is Victor Wendt. The other is him and I at the flying field this past Sat. |

Great post ! God blees the both of you, It is stories like this that make this a great hobby. We too have a few seniors in their 80's that still fly, one into war birds and another still doing large scale IMAC ! |

Extremely cool Wagas, I'm like you, I don't expect to be able to do this at that age, or even be around. And like Bigg D, God bless all of the seniors in this hobby, without them starting this whole thing, I have a hard time believing we would be as far as we are today.

That is cool. We have 3 guys that are 86,88, and 89 that still fly on a regular basis. Although the 89 year olds sight is going bad, and is about to quit flying. It is pretty awesome to watch them fly. Then if you want a history lesson, go into the club house and talk with them.
