Anyone going to the Red Bull Air Races in Monument Valley this weekend? Should be an awesome time! http://www.redbullairrace.com/ Sorry but the site is pretty slow. |

Yep, the scenery was awesome. They have filmed several famous movies in Monument Valley such as Thelma and Louise, Back to Future III, Forrest Gump (when he is running) etc. We were actually at higher elevation then most of the course so we were pretty much eye level with the planes. The pilons they fly between are only 60' feet high. Through the blue ring pilons they must be level, through the red ones they have to be in a knife edge or points were deducted. It is going to be in San Diego in september. I might have to go see that one too!

I have pictures posted from the Monument Valley race on our website http://www.acrodesigns.com/ My fiance, Len Rulason, will be working the rest of the 2007 Red Bull Air Race season as Steve Jones' Crew Chief.
