Instead of asking people for $$ without getting anything in return try going around town and do odd jobs (cutting grass, painting...anything) for people and have that money put towards your fund raiser. Have a pamphlet that explains the trip and what you are trying to do and make sure to tell them that 100% of the money is going towards the fund. You could ask them to give a little more than typical for the labor because it is for a better cause.

No I am not asking anyone for money straight forward but just to have a think about the TX strap or the T-Shirt as posted a few down! You get me!
I don't like asking people for money so I am going to make an effort with that! If no one is interested well then I will have to scrap it and try something else!

Sorry for the misunderstanding, in your title you said Donations.

Are you trying to get interest from people in the United States or just in Ireland?

You could also go to businesses and ask them if there is anything that you could to....eg clean windows, vaccum. Simple stuff that they wouldn't mind paying someone in school to do. Manual labor goes a long way in showing that you are committed to a project.

got it changed.....

logistically sending product all over the world is something that would be cost prohibitive. Say that someone wants to give $10 for a neckstrap. It would cost you a couple bucks to have it made and a lot more to ship. Would be tough to get any significant cash that way.

Yea True! Ah I am kinda annoyed now!(not with you) that I cant get something like it going!
........I could try and get contact with someone in the USA to make them there and If there is an interest get some out!Will have another think! Thanks!
