mmm... I got a plan

If by chance you do catch them selling your stuff on some website, I'd just say you'll buy it and meet them where ever. Call the cops and they can give ya a ride to the idiots house .

I'd keep your eyes open on ebay and RCU. I'll keep mine open.

best of luck finding the tools who stole yours, also keep an eye on your local "auto trader" type mags, they might try to sell off the trailer

We had our Truck and Trailer stolen a couple of years ago, and were lucky and got the truck and trailer back a day later but everything in the trailer was gone.
We ended up going through our home owners get it all replaced. Good luck on finding you trailer.

GOOD NEWS!

I got a call yesterday afternoon. My planes and equipment have been found. They have been found in a dumpster about 1.5 hrs from me south in Morgan City LA.

The story i was told, a guy standing outside his buisness saw someone dump a lot of junk into a dumpster out of a trailer. He went over to check it out and found all my planes. They took the planes and equipment out of the dumpster and brought them into their shop. One of the guys working there just happens to be a police officer and helps out there when he isnt on duty. He took pics of my stuff and went to the local hobby store to see if someone had their planes stolen. Well the hobby shop owner recognized my stuff and made a call to the president of the club down there. He called me and gave me the good news. I called the police officer after talking to the hobby shop owner and he told me how it went down. He asked me to describe what was stolen and after that long conversation he said "well pretty much everything you described is here" I then asked him what the damage was. He said "the best i can tell, nothing is broken". AWESOME!

So, now im waiting on the MCPD to finish their report writeup and let me pick my stuff up. No word on the trailer yet. BUt hopefully it will turn up since the location has been narrowed down.

I really dont even care what condition the planes are in. I cant imagine there isnt some sort of damage. My Yak was on the top shelf of the trailer not even strapped down.

Im just stoked to get my radio equipment, servos, and motors back. I can fix the planes.

Dude that's awsome! Glad you're getting your stuff back. With a little luck, they'll nail those fs and you'll get your trailer as well, plus the added bonus of wishing them farewell on their way to the pokie. Keep us informed and good luck. Hope your planes are ok.

How was your trailer stored?

1) did it have a lock on all doors?
2) did you have a lock on the hitch?
3) Did you chain and lock the rims to the axles?

I've just heard alot about trailers being stolen in the last year and wonder how people are storing them to prevent theft
