I have been lurking around for a few months on this awesome site. Just looking for information on some large scale stuff. I ahve been flying airplanes for about 6 years on and off and helicopters hard core for about two and have progressed quickly. My Dad also flys airplanes and helicopters, and he just did his first loops with a heli a few days ago. Right now, I am builing a Lanier 40% Edge 540Tand it really has been a big winter project for me (not enough time during the summer. It is all framed up, I just need to decide on a motor (kroma 180i is winning) and learn about giant scale setups. My Dad and I also just acquired a Hanger 9 46% Ultimate for an absolute KILLER price. I have to thank my Dad for pitching in with most of the funds as he really wanted the ariplane also. Completely ready to fly minus the recievers with DA150, 8611s, matchboxes, power expander, bunch of extras like props, wing bags, smoke system, cowling, and wheel pants. The other nice part is it came from a friend of mine, so I know most of the history and got to see it fly. I do mostly fly helicopters (Synergy, Stratus, 600N, raptors, and 450s). But have always been fascinated with giant scale 3D airplanes. So this is me offically saying HI, Paul Thank you for such an awesome site.

Hi Paul and welcome to FG. I to fly Heli's and Big Planks. I got hooked on IMAC and have had a great time traveling around the North East making new friends at every contest. There will be a contest in Hopkinton (Concord), NH September 29 fly with us or come out and just make new friends.

I wish I could make it...but there are two heli funflys in MA that same weekend that I am planning on attending. I do go to Hopkinton on occasion with people from R/C Buyers in Nashua or the Sod Farm in Concord (Concord skyhawks I think).
