Talking Hello from Chula Vista

I fell into this hobby by chance. A few years ago a pilot buddy of mine needed some cash. He gave me his Hobbico 60 size trainer (Radio, Field Box, Starter the whole works) as colateral, he insisted!! The model was a little beaten up but I took it. I in turn told him how about I buy the model from you and he agreed. I had that model in my garage for a couple of months collecting dust and one day decided, I would take it to the local flying club in Dallas and get help. The guys at this club were very friendly, I was pleasantly surprized. I did not fly that day because there were some repairs to be done before it could be considered safe for the club. A few days later I received some training from a club member and I was hooked. This airplane flew three times and broke due to a hard landing in some field brush after engine failure. I called my buddy and he told me about a coworker that was really big into this hobby and he could help me. Well it turned out he was a member of Texas Heatwave Aerobatic Team 2002, I went to his home and in his shop were a couple of huge aerobatic airplanes. I was so impressed that I just had to have one. He helped me choose a new airplane a .40 size hanger9 stick that he helped put together. I had to relocate (Job transfer) and never flew that plane in Texas. I became a member of the Chual Vista Model Radio Control Club and met a great bunch of people that were more than happy to help. I got checked out on my stick and shorlty there after I bought my big plane. I fly my WildHare 28% 300LX as much as I can. I love this hobby always learning something new and the people that are involved in it are about the friendliest most helpful around. Glad to be a part of it.
