Default Howdy from Southern Oklahoma

Hey guys, how's it goin! I'm Jim, posting from the Southern part of OK. I've been flying RC for about 3 years now, and am looking to start flying IMAC next year. I presently am flying a GP Gene Soucy Extra 300S, and two EP Extras... a Fliton 330S Mini, and an Eflite Extra 260 I just finished. I have a Wildhare Sukhoi on order, which will be my IMAC bird. I look forward to getting some good info from this site, it looks good!

Hello from SW Oklahoma (Apache, Ok). I have been flying models for a long, long time and would like to hear from you. What part of OK are you from?

I live in Davis, just a ways up I-35 to the North of you guys. I'm a member of the Lake Country RC club, but I dont fly out at Murray all that much anymore. I usually do my flying out here at the Davis airport. I've been wanting to check out some different clubs around the area and see if I can't find one that has some IMAC participants as members, because that's more of the direction my flying is headed. It'd be nice to be able to fly with some guys who have some experience already. The guys out at Murray are a great group, there's just no competition fliers, and really only a couple who fly gas. Where's your field located in Gainesville? Might have to pay you guys a visit!

Hey John! I live in Davis, about 35 miles N. of Ardmore. Oh yeah, I know where Apache is. I fly pipeline patrol for a living (Chief pilot for Underwood Aerial Patrols, Inc. up in Guthrie) and fly a big crude oil gathering system out around Cement, Cyril, and Anadarko every week. Where do you fly at?

Our field is between Gainesville and Sherman off 82. It is extremly IMAC Frendly. We have the longest running IMAC in SC Region, there are 3 basic and 4 sportsman flyers in the club, Scott will be moving to intermediate next year. We will be there Saturday Practicing.

Small world!! I take it you work for Zivco?? I was up there last week (or week before) when Kirby Chambliss had his Edge in there. Gotta come up tomorrow afternoon and change airplanes. I'll definitely look you up after you get back!

Sounds like exactly what I'm looking for! I wont be around Saturday, or I would come down. I have to take my wife to Tulsa, her uncle is in the cancer treatment center up there and she wants to go for a visit. While she's there, I'm going to sneak over and check out the IMAC competition at Broken Arrow for a little while. I will definitely plan on coming down next weekend though, if you guys will be out there.
