Default G'day from Brisbane Australia

Hi everyone.
Just a quick post to say hi and introduce myself. My name is Marshal, I live just south of Brisbane Qld. I manage a relativley new hobby shop in Loganholme and fly mostly at the LARCS club but occasionally I'll venture off to another club. I enjoy flying scale models, large, small, civi or warbird, its all good. Really I enjoy watching anything airborn but get the most satisfaction from flying scale.
I joined this forum quite some time ago, mostly just to read up on whats happening around and checkout some of the latest products on the market. Recently I've been getting more and more excited about large scale aerobatics, to the point where I almost didn't sleep over the 2007 TAS weekend and spent countless hours on my pc, waiting for scores and pics to see how my fellow Aussies went at the shootout. The coverage from the FG crew was awesome and I look forward to watching future events and maybe even going to TAS in 2008.
Its a great site and most of the posts I have read, have shown the members to be generally friendly and knowledgable.

Cheers guys,
Marshal J.

Hi Chris,
We have met and probably even shared the sky from time to time. I've seen the Giants from Down Under thread and I've been reading most of the posts since TAS started but I'm not real keen on reading the lot from the start. I only ever get a chance to fly on Sunday these days as I work every Saturday. I guess I'm lucky that my hobby is now my job but it does take its toll on flying.

Cheers,
Marshal J.

Great....come on out.

Always good to see more pilots at the TAS each year. It would be nice to see a few more in the classes under invitational....so each class has a good mix

I would only be there as a spectator but I may hang around a few weeks and go to the trade show in Chicago while I'm there. Just need to get the go ahead from the boss.

Hello Marshal,

This is Patrick H, I was amazed you remembered my name before and maybe you will now. I ordered some vintage wheels from you.

Love your shop, when I find a club, I will definately come back and get myself a gasser.

Hi Patrick,
I believe they were Williams Bros wheels that took us a while to get. I try to make it a point to remember peoples names, at least their first name, then it just sets a good tone when people come into the shop. Give me a call at the shop, I know of a couple of clubs that you might have some luck with.

Hey bushie,
Welcome. There is a Comp in Toowoomba at the TAA field on the 13 & 14th Sept. Will be a good turn out. Worth the look.

Regards

Luke
