Default A big hello from sunny AZ!

Greetings from AZ!

Dont really know what to write here, but I had to sign up for this new hobby after attending the 2007 TAS. With flights that keep the spectators on the edge of their seats from pilots like Kyle Woyshnis and Mark Leseberg, not to mention Frazer Briggs quick wit to keep everyone smiling, how could anyone stay away? I hope to be out there competing with all you big boys sometime soon!

BTW, I'm looking for a good club in Tucson, AZ...Anyone have any suggestions? Usually I just hop out on the weekends with a small park flyer or foamie but it's time to dust off some of the bigger birds

Welcome, fellow Tucsonan!
For aerobatics, TRCC is where it's at. Of course, it is also a hot spot for formation circle flyers but they are all a good bunch of guys and so long as you pick and choose your battles wisely, everything runs smoothly. The hardcore aerobatic guys and general fun-seekers come out later in the day so they don't have to fight for airspace.
TRCC is in SE Tucson, off Valencia just east of houghton rd. While there is speculation of us being run out by developers at some point in the future, it is a couple years off, at least, if it happens.
Anyway, shoot me a PM if you have any other questions...
Nick

What area of Tucson do you live? There is several good places, you might try a few flights at each. TIMPA is bit far but worth the trip. All good people.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! As for location I am central Tucson. I really liked the TIMPA set up, and I have visited a really nice small club off of south Houghton road, a bit north of I-10. It would be nice to find something a bit closer, but understandably clubs won't be nestled into the densly populated city.

Come on out on Sat. to TIMPA and fly with us. We will be attempting the new Imac sequences along with just flying around. TIMPA however does have a $4.00 a day landing fee and a gate. A person needs a gate card to get in. Go to the TIMPA web site for more details. We will be there about 7:30am and can let you in. Give me a call if you like. 481-3726.
Dave.

Welcom to Tucson,

TRCC is the field where I fly and it is great! Very nice people and at a great location. If you come out this Sunday, I should have a 50%'r or two flying around.
